What is at Shoppers Mall?
Shoppers Mall Brandon is the city’s enclosed shopping centre, located at 1570 18th Street. It is the place to go when you want several stores under one roof, especially in winter.
Anchor stores include Simons, Winners, HomeSense, and Sport Chek. The mall also carries national fashion, phone, and beauty retailers, plus a food court for a mid-trip break. Hours are generally longest on weekdays, and holiday-season hours are extended.
What is at Corral Centre?
Corral Centre sits at the corner of Richmond Avenue West and First Street, near the Trans-Canada Highway. It is a big-box plaza, so you drive between stores rather than walking a mall.
Tenants include a Walmart Supercentre, Home Depot, Best Buy, Michaels, and Dollarama, along with restaurants and banks in the surrounding lots. This is the better stop when you need groceries, hardware, or electronics in one run.
What about the 18th Street strip?
Victoria Avenue to 26th Street along 18th is Brandon’s traditional retail row. You will find Canadian Tire, grocery stores, fast food, car dealerships, and smaller national chains spread along it. Expect to drive; the strip is long and crossings are busy.
Is downtown worth the trip?
Downtown Brandon, along Pacific Avenue and Rosser Avenue, has independent boutiques, gift shops, cafes, and services rather than chain big-box stores. It is the place to look for locally made goods, and parking is a mix of street spots and lots.
